Former midfielder Emmanuel Petit believes Arsenal should have signed Emiliano Martinez instead of Kepa Arrizabalaga.

“Since Kepa Carrizabalaga joined Chelsea, it’s been a nightmare for him,” Petit told talkSPORT. “He went to Real Madrid, which was not good either. He went to Bournemouth and wasn’t a regular starter but ended up doing quite well.”
“For Bournemouth it’s another story but at the biggest club in the world you have to have the right attitude, especially as a goalkeeper. I think Arsenal need a goalkeeper who can – not replace David Raya because he’s good – but can give them another option.”
